I picked up my first guitar when I was 31 years old and at 33 I started my first band... Michael Boyle and the Broken Bow Band. We played to large audiences all over southern Ohio, opening for headline acts such as Billy Joe Shaver, Confederate Railroad, David Allen Coe, Mark Collie, and Tracy Byrd, among others.

When our band stopped playing in 1996, I began to write more, and I shared new songs around my hometown of Chillicothe, Ohio. I continue playing solo gigs and I currently play every Tuesday and Thursday at local venues. These solo gigs usually turn into fun jam sessions, with friends showing up like Mark Sentieri (bass), Barry Barnes (banjo, mandolin and dobro), John Victor (harmonica), and Donn Hill (vocals, guitar, harmonica and keys).
